Edwin Roe Tyson was born at Hopewell, York County, Pa., July 8, 1872. In his youthful years he removed to Middletown, Ohio, with his parents, and received his schooling in that city. Previous to his appointment to the police force on May 15, 1907, he followed the occupation of selling groceries. He began as a clerk, but through his careful and efficient services advanced to manager, and before he quit the business had served as manager of a number of stores. He has a wife, Bessie, and one child, Nellie. Mr. Tyson is a member of Hope Company, No. 32, U. R. K. or P.
