Dr. William Adam Thomas Ryan, assistant surgeon of the police department, was born in 1881 at St. Henry, Mercer County, Ohio. He entered a parochial school at St. Henry, but removed to Dayton with his parents while still a lad. At Dayton he attended the common schools and later was a student at St. Mary's Institute. On leaving this institution he decided to study medicine and accordingly entered the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. He was graduated in 1906. He is identified with the Montgomery County Medical society and the Dayton Academy of Medicine. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Knights of St. John, the C. O. F., and the A. O. H. Doctor Ryan is unmarried.
