Robert M. O'Hearn was born in Dayton on October 13, 1857. He received an excellent education spending two years in St. Mary's Institute and also attending Greenwood College. While a young man he capably filled a number of positions and later served as sanitary policeman. He was so engaged when appointed to the police force as patrolman on October 8, 1894. Mr. O'Hearn and his wife, Mary, are evidently exponents of Colonel Roosevelt's policy, for they are the happy parents of six children. Their names are, Rose, Alice, Thomas, Edward, William and Robert, Jr. Mr. O'Hearn belongs to the A. O. H. and I. O. O. F.
